How does Careprost work?

The active principle of Careprost - Bimatoprost is a synthetic compound used for growth serum, the derivative of prostaglandin. After the application, the medication improves the circulation of liquid in the eyes and thus decreases intraocular pressure. By reducing intraocular pressure, Careprost helps prevent damage to the optic nerve. With decreased intraocular pressure, Careprost can be applied on the upper eyelid to promote eyelash growth. Bimatoprost makes the lashes darker, longer and thicker. The effect is usually observed within 8-12 weeks. The mechanism of action of Careprost is related to the activation of the anagen phase (phase of growth) of the eyelashes, making this phase more intensive for longer.

Medication can cause hair growth in unwanted places. Bimatoprost can also cause swelling of the macula of the eye. Try to avoid contaminating the tip of the bottle because this can cause a bacterial keratitis. You should remove your contact lenses before applying Careprost. If you develop eye diseases or are going to have an eye surgery, talk to your doctor.

What are the side effects of Careprost?

How was my personal experience with Latisse

It has been 2 years I have been using this product for my eyebrows and eyelash hairs. Though it has worked well, I have not been able to cope up with the cost of buying Latisse. It is very costly and the single vial of Latisse last for one-month t max. Many of my friends and even the parents suggested me carboprost as an alternative to Latisse. I was not in full confidence for going off to a new brand and had apprehension to the generic drugs.

I had to shift from Latisse to Careprost. Only on shifting and the application of Careprost and finally, I realized that I was completely wrong about my perception about towards generic drugs and Careprost worked extremely fine and had the same effectiveness as the previous drug.
